The Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) is one of Europe’s biggest, most modern Universities of Economic Sciences with over 23,000 students and more than 1,000 faculty and staff members. With just under 23.000 students originating from 110 countries the WU is the biggest place for education in economic and social sciences. The WU has a network of about 240 partner universities.

The Institute for Business Education is part of Vienna University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, short: WU) and is responsible for a number of study programs at WU: for the master program of business education, the specialization “business training and education management” in the bachelor program, for the social skills program at WU and for the course “Accounting and Management Control I”. The research at the institute focuses on economic literacy with a special emphasis on financial literacy, competence management and measurement, instructional quality and teaching methods as well as the application of new media for educational purposes.
